If you give this app a chance you will certainly enjoy it. Getting good results is very easy and quick. With some time you get great results. I use the app to create very cool wallpapers for my iPhone lock screen.

crashes too much. i have iphone 3gs with the latest update version and it still crashes. total failure. happy these people dont make cars or youll be crashing all the time. awful. very slow. doesnt paint over areas i want. end result is crappy. tools provided dont do anything artistic. PHOTO PAINT IS BETTER. why does apple allow these defective/awful apps? (answer: $$$$$)

I really like the app. Really interesting. A bit buggy flickering. Hmmm. Anyway its very fun. Pictures look good once you get the hang of it. I would like to see more backround textures and drawing tool r good- more is better. When I save my end product and it saves to album it looks different. More smudgy and not as clear. I took a photo of the screen as well. I want this to br mandatory that you can at least redo steps 5x back as my other drawing programs!! The opacity slide bar does not do a huge difference from left to right as well. This app is just therapeutically different. I would do 6 stars if issues r fixed w updates as well. Good start. Give the maker a chance. Voice opinions nicely-is more motivating when people do these apps!!

this is a great app, I loves it!! 3 things I would ask for - a "step back" or "undo" button, a "layer" function - such as Sketchbook, and a "flow" slider along side the opacity; this really lets the user customize the brush! great great app!

Save your money on this one. Not worth all the hype. Great for kids to mess with while bored but thats about it. Photo Paint is a much better app. Thus is really junk.

Not bad overall, but I would like see some refinements, an easy access undo button, more detailed explanation of how it works in the video tutorial Looking forward to an update.

As an artist, I do a lot of drawing, painting, and creating in many mediums and am always interested in new ways of "mark-making." This app is a good tool for doing that, though at first the icons seemed not to work: the little hand at the top of the canvas did nothing (I thought), and the zoom and reduce actions seemed to leave marks whenever my fingers touched the screen. Come to find out, with a little thought and experimenting, I discovered the "little hand tool" is what you use to zoom, move around the canvas, and reduce....! Then, going back to the brush icon, to paint and make marks. This worked for leaving no marks when adjusting canvas size, and also cleared up my confusion as to why I couldnt make marks while zooming around in the "hand" mode... I thought the "hand" was for making marks - it is not! So, now that I understand how the various tools work, I am very pleased to be making marks with this very fine app. As for "undoing," you CAN go back a number of steps - one just keeps going back to the "undo" button. A bit tedious, but using PShop and Painter on my Mac, requires the same behavior... not a problem when one is after the right effect. As for drawing into and painting photos, this app works very nicely. I recommend this app for creative people to use in a setting when pencil, drawing pad, canvas, paints or computers and tablets are neither near-by, or when a bright idea suddenly crops up in ones travels. Of the six photo-adjusting/mark-making apps I have, this is the most versatile for me. Creating original pieces is very easy and the actions of the tools are very fluid and responsive - the water color brush even leaves a bit of that "edge" that I love, when using the "stone" paper. Also a useful app for those who are not necessarily "artists" by profession or choice, but who want to "make marks" of their own, and enhance their own photos. The included tutorial will help guide someone who has never wielded a brush to create a fine product. I have not yet tried to print any of my creations, and will let you know how this turns out - Thanks for a good and effective app.

Despite the color problem, I really enjoy this app. I have a few other similar apps, but for some reason I find myself really enjoying this one more than any of those other apps.

Was loving the app until the update. Suddenly all the photos I import turn blue!! Whats up with that?? And the website is down too.

I just dont get all those good reveiws Ill give it  just because its a good idea and it seems to work for other people but it keeps crashing for me needs update

I want to like this but it runs really sloppy on OS4. If Epic Citadel can run like liquid on my phone then a simple paint app should be able to as well. Optimize it and it gets 5 stars. Cheers.

This app is incredibly hard to use and the only thing I know HOW to use -- the pencil sketch -- looks awfully ugly. Definitely not worth it. Save your money. Id like my $4.99 back now!

Nothing but nothing like you see in the samples! I thought it was a good idea and when it turned out to be a mess I looked at the tutorial. OMG just look at THAT low res mess. The devs have no clue and I fell for it. Listen, if you think this might be a good app, think again. I believe the positive reviews are fake. Sad. This was wasted, even if you pay $1. I learned my $5 lesson and feel the devs stole it. Apple needs a 30 min refund Policy to stop these scams. UPDATE Sine I paid good money for this I really tried to make it work at least somewhat. Let me be clear: This buggy app is a POS. If it was free I would just delete it. Apple shares some blame here - they make you buy the stuff without being able to check it out properly. Once you have paid you lost the game. The goal here is to sell you this app, not to sell a good product.

So slow that I cant use this thing. OS 4 has been out for a long time, still no fix? Then refund

The program is like 5 secs behind. Can we get an update please. Is it the new os ? I used to love this program and almost bought an iPad because of it. I have since bought "brushes" and thinks it great. Can we update this program so it doesnt lag after every stroke? Program has potential.

This app was exactly what I was looking for to create art from my photos. Its like finger-painting without the mess. I havent viewed the video tutorial, but by following the developers suggestion to start with broad brushstrokes and then gradually move to smaller and smaller brushstrokes to reveal detail, I find I can make my paintings as impressionistic, expressionistic or photo-realistic as I want. Its easy enough to zoom in and work out very fine details with fine brushstrokes, change the brush tool, the size of the brushstroke or even the opacity of the paint! Ive only just begun to explore the possibilities here and look forward to unleashing my creativity. This is NOT a "fake" review. I do have some art education and painting experience, so I work from horizon and background to foreground, broad brushstrokes to fine, translucent to opaque. Results are not instant, and require some patience and playing around.

If youre a photographer or just want to simulated painting to your images then this is the App to do it. I have purchased most painting Apps and what Ive discovered is that they are designed for people with more brush skills than I have. This App allows you to work from a photograph and add paint to it. Sounds pretty simple but its the only one Ive found that can do it.
